Rarity: It’s widely avaliable in every grade. The fully red and higher grades are readily avaiable. Original rolls are still in existance.

Other facts: After World Ware II average salaries of the mint servicement went up as much as 70 percent. At the same time, the cost of coin production had lowered as the result of automation.

 

1951-D Wheat penny

Rarity: commoin in all grade very good and higher, orignal rolls still exist.

Other facts: well struck, fully red gems are readily avaliable, as the low value for this issue suggests.

 

1951-S Wheat Penny

Rarity: all grades very good and higher are common, though fully struck gems for a minority of the mint state survivors

Other Facts: Many of these coins have a worn and shallow appearance. Some fully red coins may still exist.
